Hi, I'm Steph.

With nearly two decades of experience in HR, leadership development, and executive coaching, I’ve spent my career helping leaders show up authentically and navigate challenges with confidence. At a pivotal point in my career, a CEO I worked closely with told me that what he valued most about me was my ability to say hard things in a way that showed I truly cared. That moment solidified not only my approach to leadership, but also the way I coach others: with honesty, empathy, and compassion, even when the conversations are tough.

My work today is deeply personal. I’ve experienced burnout firsthand. I know how isolating, confusing, and relentless it can feel. I know what it feels like to wake up tired, restless, stuck in cycles of rumination, and wondering how to move forward.  I know the toll it takes on your body, how sick you can become physically. I know how it can have a toxic impact on how you show up at work, which impacts your team and those you lead. Through years of reflection and a commitment to mindfulness practice, I learned how to shift my mindset, heal from burnout, and return to myself—stronger, more balanced, and more resilient than before.

For me, meditation was the key that slowly shifted everything. It quieted the rumination, softened the anxiety, and eventually gave me freedom to feel and live differently, to have agency in my own life. I want to share that freedom with others.  I want to help others learn scientifically-proven strategies to protect against burnout - or if they are already in it, find their way back from burnout.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on my yoga mat, reading with a cup of tea, listening to a podcast, or on walks with my cavapoo, Bali. I’m originally from Utah but have called the Pacific Northwest home for nearly two decades. I love the Oregon coast, and I’m always dreaming of my next travel adventure—so if you have a favorite destination, I’d love to hear it.

Our Work Together

Will Be

Meaningful. Supportive. Authentic.

I bring deep care and attention to the people I work with. I see you for who you are. With warmth, kindness, and humor,  I help you cut through the surface—gently challenging beliefs and behaviors—so you can see your options more clearly.

I lead with both my head and my heart, finding balance between insight and empathy. This is how I’ve always approached life — AND science tells us that both are required to be effective leaders today.

The work we will do together will be transformative.  I know this because I have done it and am still doing it. It will not be easy, it requires a commitment and a genuine desire to grow—but the impact will be life-changing.

Education & Professional Experience

  • LinkedIn

I’ve had the privilege of working across the full spectrum of organizations—from small teams of 10 in a single location to large enterprises with 40,000 employees nationwide. I’ve seen it all: technology start-ups, healthcare, education, franchising, food service, retail, banking, and more. Through every industry and every organizational size, one truth stands out: leadership matters. The quality of leadership shapes culture, fosters collaboration, drives customer satisfaction, and ultimately determines the results a company can achieve.

In addition to my work experience, I hold an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Washington State University, and a BS, Human Resource Management & General Management from Portland State University.

I have several certifications as well.  I am a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, a SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) and hold a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Certification from the HR Certification Institute.

My Approach

Man Meditating Indoors

Mindfulness is the foundation of my work. Through guided meditation and reflective practices, I help you cultivate presence, reduce stress, and quiet the noise. These tools not only restore balance but also strengthen your ability to respond skillfully in the face of challenges.

I believe leadership is most effective when it’s authentic. By identifying and leaning into your natural strengths, we’ll uncover what energizes you and explore how to use those strengths to lead with confidence and clarity. This approach helps you build on what’s already working and expand it in meaningful ways.

I see challenges as powerful teachers. With a growth mindset, every setback becomes an opportunity to learn and grow. Through reframing techniques, I help you shift perspective, uncover new possibilities, and approach obstacles with curiosity instead of fear. This creates resilience, adaptability, and the freedom to choose how you want to lead and live.
